Thousands enjoy the parade and fireworks at the first-ever Oconee July 4th Spectacular at Oconee Veterans Park.

Patriotism and politics merged at the Wednesday evening. Candidates seeking local office mingled with the large crowd, marched in the parade, and handed out goodies as businesses sold concessions and kids played sports on the fields of . Lisa Matheson sang a moving rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" and !
