    The Associated Press gave our Sheriff's Office a call because they noticed the high amount of activity on the Oconee Sheriff's Office Facebook page. Major Kudos to Chief Deputy Lee Weems! Excellent coverage of the icy roads! Thanks to all of you!

    Outer Loop entrance at 316 is now closed, according to Sheriff's office. Reports of very icy road conditions on Wednesday night!

    Oconee Sheriff's Office is closing northbound 441 exit ramp onto Experiment Station Rd. Very icy conditions!

    Sheriff's Office has all on duty personnel responding to calls. Off duty deputies are on way to assist. Re-freezing is making extremely treacherous road conditions. Do not travel unless an emergency. Use extreme caution! Longer wait times for help.

    Chief Weems said New High Shoals Rd has some very bad ice patches. Use caution.
