ReplyJust a quick note--a feral cat is one that has lived on its own to the point where cannot be handled by humans, so be sure to refer to it as a stray if you're looking for a home for it (otherwise people may get the impression that it cannot transition to a pet in a home).

ReplyGreat question! Yes, we adopt small animals as well, like rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs, etc. Right now, we have one rabbit that we can use timothy hay, alfalfa hay, Kay-Tee Soft-Sorbent litter (or similar product), and rabbit toys. You can also visit our full online Wish List to see other small animal needs.
Thank you for helping the small animals at AAHS!

ReplyThe Athens Area Humane Society is offering sponsorships for their adoptable animals who won't have moms this weekend... So it's a great way to support the animals while honoring your mom at the same time--it's a gift with some heart and compassion behind it, and I think most moms can truly appreciate that.
(Those who purchase sponsorships will receive a certificate to present as a gift. Visit wwwAthensHumaneSociety.org for more info.)
