Police have encountered some strange activities in Northeast Georgia recently.
> When you gotta have Waffle House: A Buford man, who faces a DUI charge, told police he woke up hungry and was headed to Waffle House — that's why he was driving so fast. On his way, he passed a police checkpoint doing 70 mph in a 40 mph speed zone. > Bad roommate: Two Lilburn-area men said their roommate had been high on meth for six days, which probably explained his behavior. They claimed the roommate stole some of their possessions, broke into their cars and shattered one of the vehicle’s windows. Gun shots they heard early one morning was probably him, too, they said. Law enforcement agencies in North Georgia have had to tackle some pretty weird stuff lately.
> Raid on an underwear drawer: Two thieves — a man and a woman — tricked an elderly Dacula woman out of $1,650 that was hidden in her underwear drawer. The man, approximately 18 to 22 years old, knocked on the door and "mentioned something about the roof." Thinking the young man knew her 81-year-old husband, the woman led him to the living room to see the husband. A young woman then knocked on the door, claiming to be the man’s friend and needing to use the bathroom. She was let in, too. The suspects left soon afterward, apparently leaving an empty envelop that had contained the money. > Look, no undershorts: A Lithonia panhandler told female customers at a convenience store that he needed some cash. This edition of weird police news also includes a Peeping Tom and stolen cardboard, but not in the same story.

The owner told police that his former business partner threaten to kill him and then tried to cut him with a pocket knife in the parking lot of the company. When the owner fought back and kicked the aggressor in the face, the ex-partner said he was going to hunt down the man’s family. The business owner told police the two men had fought before. Another dose of the weird stuff police officers around North Georgia were up against recently.
> One word — bizarre: A man standing in front of a paint store in Lilburn pulled his pants down and told police to "come and get it.” But that was tame compared the rest of his bizarre behavior. Before police arrived, the man, an employee at the store, made strong sexual advances to another male employee, who put him in a headlock and sent him outside. Once outside, the man took off his clothes, pushed certain body parts against the store window, and made pelvic thrusting gestures. When police arrived, he punched and kicked one of the officers before being tasered — twice. > Backyard flasher: Here’s something that will be hard to forget for a Winder-area homeowner — a 31-year-old man standing shirtless in the backyard with his pants pulled…

When an officer asked if she had any more drugs on her, she replied, "Why? Do you want some?" Related Content: > I’m here to clean you out: Police are looking for a man who they believe lied to enter several Athens-area businesses and steal wallets. To gain access to the offices, he claimed to be on a work detail, such as cleaning the carpets or checking for pests. Once in, he scooped up the personal items.
