Funeral arrangements have been announced for UGA student Quinton Million Ayers, 22. Ayers grew up in Adairsville but most recently resided in Oconee County. Gwinnett County Police said Ayers died from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident that likely occurred Saturday morning on Ga. Highway 316 near Harbins Road. His family had reported him missing on Sunday and his body was found in his truck on Labor Day. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6:30-9 p.m. at at NorthPointe Church, 30 Orchard Road in Adairsville, according to an online obituary posted by R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home. The victim in a single car fatality accident on Highway 316 near Harbins Road has been identified as that of Quinton Ayers, who was reported missing last week, according to Fox 5 News. Ayers, a UGA student, was last seen in Athens around 1 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31. His last cell phone activity was traced to a location near the Gwinnett County Airport. His vehicle was discovered approximately 40 feet off the roadway. "It was resting on its side and appeared to have hit a tree at significant speed," said Gwinnett County Police public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith in a released statement. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for any information about the whereabouts of 22-year-old Quinton Ayers. Chief Deputy Lee Weems said Ayers resides with his mother in Oconee County. According to Ayers' Facebook page, he is a UGA student. Ayers was last seen in Athens around 1 a.m. on Friday, and authorities have information that he may have left Athens in route to Adairsville, but he never arrived there, according to a news release. His last known cell phone activity was traced to a location in Gwinnett County near the airport. Ayers is described as 6'2" and approximately 250 pounds with crewcut hair and a "shadow" beard.
