Bringing in the New Year's Baby

Athens Regional Medical Center boasts the first baby born in our area in the 2011 New Year. Parker Lee Jutras was welcomed into the world at 12:20 a.m. on January 1. The son of Scott and Alisha Jutras, the adorable baby weighed in at 8 lbs., 14 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long. "He's just cute!" said Alisha Jutras, proud new mom. "He's great!" Dad, Scott Jutras added. Parker is lucky enough to have a big sister, Olivia Jutras (2), who is completely enamored with her new baby brother. Scott and Alisha, of Statham, arrived at Athens Regional on Thursday for Alisha's labor to be induced due to concern about the baby's large size.
