Actor Kirk Cameron Bringing 'Love Worth Fighting For' Message to Watkinsville

Tickets are going fast for Saturday's marriage conference at Prince Avenue Baptist Church.

"Love Worth Fighting For," a Christian-based conference Feed Your Faith Ministries says is "designed to strengthen and encourage your marriage," is coming to Oconee County this weekend. Saturday's event at Prince Avenue Baptist Church will be led by actor Kirk Cameron, star of "Fireproof" and the "Left Behind" series, and will feature musician Warren Barfield. Are you planning to attend "Love Worth Fighting For"? In 2013, there are plans for the conference to make 30 stops in 30 cities across the Southeast. The event at PACS is one of only two tour stops in Georgia this month.  The other takes place on Sunday in the Carrollton High School Auditorium in Carrollton. The Great Escape

This week read about a retreat for families in the making.

Each week, I do the investigating for you. My mission is to find an event or opportunity for you to get away and do something for yourself. Typically, this is an opportunity for adults to do things without the kids. Are you planning to walk down the aisle in the near future? If so, consider stopping by Watkinsville First Baptist Church' 5,6,7 Conference  as a part of the wedding planning process. "What do you get when you bring together 5 married couples for 6 hours talking about 7 different topics that affect every marriage? You get a one-day treasure of help for engaged couples," according to the church's website.
