The Sanders family thanks the community for the support they continue to receive as Randy battles cancer.
The following is an open letter written by Watkinsville City Clerk Julie Sanders: In our minds there is always someone that needs help more than us. We can handle things ourselves. This is far from the truth and a hard lesson learned starting in 2010 when a tornado hit our home on April 8, 2010. We realized then that we do need help sometimes. A long overdue thank you goes out to every fire department member, emergency personnel, police department, and every volunteer from family members to friends to even strangers that assisted us during that difficult time.
