Snow Does not Deter Post Holiday Shopping

The snow and cold doesn't stop the determined post-Christmas shopper in Oconee County today.

Oconee County residents woke up Sunday morning to about two inches of snow on the ground with a few slushy roads.  But the white stuff did not keep post-Christmas shoppers from hitting the stores; not even with continued snowfall throughout the day. Even as the snow showers increased after lunch today and the wind chill began to drop, the parking lot at Walmart continued to stay full.  The customer service counter was dark and empty today with the exception of one employee who announced to confused shoppers wondering up to the counter that their returns were to be taken to aisle 21 - 24. Customers lined up at the four return aisles to wait in line for their turn.  The wait may have been long, but at least it was a warm one. Outside, the …
