8 Oconee Tennis Players Compete at the Georgia State High School Team Championships
The co-ed Oconee Blue Bears participated in the tournament held in Alpharetta on Dec. 8-9.
The Georgia State High School Team Championships were recently held Dec. 8-9 in Alpharetta, with eight players from Oconee County participating. The team participated under the team name of the Oconee Blue Bears. Participating for the girls were Katy Kane, Megan Morris and Erin Horsley, all from OCHS. Caroline Doherty, of Athens Academy, was also part of the team for the girls. On the boys' side, players included Drew Horsley, Dan Madden, Will McDonald and Hunter Pritchard, all of the OCHS varsity tennis team. The tournament included teams, from the Atlanta area including Blessed Trinity, Gainesville, Lanier, Mill Creek, Lambert, Parkview and Westminster.
