Halloween Costume Swap Planned at Oconee Library

Drop off gently-used costumes for children ages 0-11 through Oct. 4.

Are their ghouls in your closets? How about pumpkins, superheros or mermaids? The Oconee County Library invites you to do some fall cleaning by recycling children's gently-used Halloween costumes.  The concept: for every costume you bring, you can swap it for a different one, or you can simply donate costumes your family no longer needs. What do you think about the costume swap? Do you plan to participate? Tell us in the comments below. Children's specialist Jessie Johnson said she got the idea from National Costume Swap Day, as found on www.greenhalloween.org.  A swap serves the dual purpose of saving parents money and conserving resources, according to the website.
