Eagle Scouts Recognized by Oconee School Board

Students representing troops 149, 305, and 3537 were honored at a recent meeting.

Read about the Eagle Scouts and their service projects, courtesy of Oconee County Schools: Troop 149 (sponsored by Friendship Presbyterian Church): Nathan Adams (OCHS) built two shelters on the playground for teachers at Colham Ferry Elementary. Lee Dix (OCHS) planted fruit trees on the property of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Jonathan Fox (OCHS) renovated playground seating at Colham Ferry Elementary School by constructing benches and providing landscaping improvements to the area. As a part of the project, a bench was fitted with a plaque honoring long-time CFES principal, Martha Brodrick.
