Oconee County High's Berta Franzluebber Selected as Region 4 STAR Student
She's now in the running for the state STAR title, which will be awarded during an April 23 banquet in Atlanta.
For Berta Franzluebbers, the awards and recognitions just keep on coming. STAR Student of Oconee County High School, check. STAR Student of Oconee County, check. STAR Student of Region 4, check. Now, after the region win March 8 held at UGA's Georgia Center for Continuing Education, Franzluebbers and her her STAR teacher, Tom Drewry, advance to competition at the state level. The state winner will be announced during a banquet at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Ravinia Hotel on April 23. "She's an exceptional student," Oconee County Superintendent John Jackson said of Berta.
