New Oconee Middle School Assistant Principal Named

Principal Judy Marable says Oconee County High School Engineering and Technology teacher Cameron Smith will fill the role.

Several leadership changes have taken place within the Oconee County School System this year.  Last week, Philip Brown started his new role as principal of North Oconee High School and Judy Marable stepped up as principal of Oconee County Middle School. Following an executive session last week, the Board of Education approved Cameron Smith, current Oconee County High School teacher, for the promotion.  Marable made the announcement on the school's website on May 4.  Here is what she had to say: "We have great news to share with you!     "Dr. Jackson recommended to our Board of Education that Dr. Cameron Smith be approved as our Assistant Principal for the 2011-2012 school year.  Dr. Smith currently teaches Engineering and Technology as …
