Regional Roundup: Police ID Victims in Triple Homicide, Man Fires AR-15 During Domestic Dispute, and Suspect Charged in Church Arson

Victims in Triple Homicide Identified -- Lawrenceville Patch Gwinnett County Police released the identities of three men shot and killed Wednesday evening at a residence on Cannonball Ct. in unincorporated Lawrenceville. They are Farris Allen, 41, of Lawrenceville, James Edward Isac, 64, of Richmond, VA, and Brian Lamont White, 36, also of Richmond, VA. GCPD Cpl. Jake Smith said they're also bringing back two men to Gwinnett County who were stopped in Charlotte, NC, to question them about the shootings. The two were arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine. Detectives do not the men are responsible for the killings and continue to follow leads and look for suspects, Smith said. Guilty Verdict in Jill Smith Arson-Murder Trial – Cumming Patch A Forsyth County jury has found 35-year old Jill Smith guilty of killing her husband in a fire that started in the master bedroom of the couple's home located in a south Forsyth County subdivision in 2010. The medical examiner confirmed Mr. Smith’s death was due to a combination of smoke inhalation and thermal burns. Peter Delaney, who was also charged with felony-murder and first-degree arson, was found not guilty on all counts. Trial testimony centered on Forsyth County fire investigators, firefighters, and witnesses. The state argued that the fire was intentionally set, while defense attorneys for Smith and Delaney argued that there was not enough evidence to support that …
