Share Local Sports Highlights on Oconee Patch

Here are several easy ways you can get your sports teams featured on Patch.

Spring sports are well under way and summer activities are just around the corner. Patch wants to help you share every exciting moment with the community. We are looking for athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans who are ready, willing and able to show their team spirit on Patch. News about any team -- high school, middle school, recreational teams, etc. -- is welcome! Here's how you can share news about your sports team: 1. 2013 Final Four: Why Georgians Should Root for Wichita State

Looking for a team to cheer on to win the 2013 NCAA Men'a Basketball championship? Try Wichita State, which brings two Georgia natives back home for the Final Four.

  The Final Four of the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament has been set. Atlanta basketball fans are in for a treat. We get a clear-cut favorite (Louisville), an underdog on a hot streak (Wichita State) and two other programs with March Madness experience (Syracuse and Michigan). See also: If you're not sure who to root for, here's a great suggestion. Despite located 1,000 miles away from Atlanta, Wichita State has a strong tie to the Peach State. Carl Hall of Cochran, Ga., and Tekele Cotton of Marietta are significant contributors for the Shockers. Hall, a 6-foot-8 senior, is a starter who averages 12.5 points and 6.9 rebounds. Teen Driver Racing to Social Media Win for Georgia

This 14-year-old mini stock car driver, sponsored by Athens Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, is hoping to be voted "Best Looking Mini Stock" in a Facebook contest.

Jessica Still, 14, of Monroe, has been racing mini stock cars for almost a year now, earning the name in mini stock car racing circles of "That Girl." She is sponsored by Athens Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and races in the Young Guns class at Hartwell Speedway. According to her mother, Heddy Still, the Walton County middle school student began racing go-karts about five years ago and graduated to mini stock cars last summer.  Jessica's challenge this weekend is getting over the finish line in a Social Media race to earn her the title of "Best Looking Mini Stock" on Facebook. Florida Gulf Coast in 2013 NCAA Sweet 16 After Victories Led by Georgia Native

Bernard Thompson and the Eagles play Florida Friday in Dallas as March Madness continues.

The strongest tie Georgia has to the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is, of course, the Final Four being played in the Georgia Dome on April 6 and 8. But, despite having no local teams included on the March Madness brackets, Georgia has another strong tie-in — courtesy of Florida Gulf Coast's remarkable run to the Sweet 16. NOHS Varsity Girls Soccer Team Blanks Elbert County

With the win Tuesday, the team moved to 2-0 in region play. The Titans will host East Jackson on Friday.

By Renee Livsey The NOHS varsity girls' soccer team moved to 2-0 in the Region Tuesday night after winning 10-0 at Elbert County. Goals were scored by Erin Rosch (2), Natalie DiFrancesco (3), Katie Faust (2), Cindy Bledsoe (2), and Rachel Livsey (1). The girls beat Hart County Friday night 10-0. Erin Rosch and Taylor Young both scored 3 goals each. Natalie DiFrancesco, Cindy Bledsoe, Katie Faust and Rachel Livsey all scored one goal. NOHS Soccer plays East Jackson Friday night at home. March Madness 2013 is Here -- Are your Brackets Filled Out?

The first round of the NCAA tournament begins on Tuesday. Which teams do you predict will make it to the Final Four?

March Madness is upon us as the annual NCAA Division I men's college basketball tournament gets under way Tuesday, March 19, and it wouldn't be March Madness without the bracket.
