Your Week Ahead in Oconee: October 14-17, 2013

Government Meetings

The Oconee County Industrial Development Authority meets Monday, October 14, at 4pm in the Grand Jury Room of the Oconee County Courthouse. The Board of Commissioners has been invited to this meeting.

The Oconee County Library Advisory Board holds its October meeting on Monday, October 14, in the Bogart Library, 200 South Burson Avenue.

The Oconee County Citizens Advisory Committee on Recreational Affairs holds a called meeting on Tuesday, October 15, at 5pm, in the Conference Room of the Community Center at Oconee Veterans Park.

On Tuesday, October 15, from 7 to 9pm, the Oconee County Board of Commissioners holds a Town Hall Meeting in Farmington at the Farmington Community Center, 2890 Old Farmington Road, Farmington, Georgia. Commissioners will arrive 30 minutes ahead and stay 30 minutes after the meeting to answer questions.

On Thursday, at 8am, the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Coffee, the school system will present its Teacher of the Year awards.

Community Events

On Thursday, October 17, at 7:30pm, the North Oconee High School Drama Department presents a one-act play, "I Never Saw Another Butterfly," at the North Oconee High School's Fine Arts Building: 1081 Rocky Branch Rd., Bogart, GA 30622.

You may have missed the reception on Friday, but there's no reason to miss the OCAF exhibit, "Georgia Small Works" now on display in the OCAF gallery on School Street in Watkinsville. Many who've seen the show describe it as 'dazzling' and 'brilliant,' so how can you not attend?
