Week Ahead: December 9-12th

Here are a few things going on in Oconee County this week.


Monday, December 9
The Oconee County Industrial Authority meets at 4pm in the Grand Jury Room of the Oconee County Courthouse.

Tuesday, December 10

There will be storytime at the Oconee County Library at 10am and 11am. The event is for children, ages 2 to 5, and their caregivers. Prepare to sing, clap and maybe even dance. And while you're there, register to win a homemade gingerbread house. The drawing is December 18.

The Oconee County Board of Tax Assessors meets at 9am in room 103 of the courthouse. For the agenda, click here.

At 3pm, there will be a ribbon cutting for the Golden Chick restaurant on the Macon Highway. 

Thursday, December 12
From 12:30 to 2pm, you can learn the basics of genealogy research at the Oconee County Library.  You can learn everything you need to know in order to start researching. Learn about forms and websites that can help you in your search. Registration is required.

Don't forget to drop by the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation this week. The Holiday Market has a plethora of art suitable for gifts. The art was made by the members of OCAF, and it's lovely!
