Week Ahead: December 16th-December 19th, 2013

Patch shares some of what's happening in Oconee County and environs this week.

Monday, December 16th
The Oconee County Planning Commission meets at 7pm in the Oconee County Courthouse.
 
The Oconee County Public Library will be offering a course Genealogy 102 from 6 to 7:30pm. You can learn how to navigate the genealogy databases Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest Online to access census records. Participants must have basic computer skills. Registration is required.

Tuesday, December 17th
There's storytime at the Oconee County Public Library at 10 and 11am. Storytime is for children, ages 2-5 years, and their caregivers. Come for stories, songs, movement and crafts.

The Citizens Advisory Committee On Recreational Affairs is holding a called meeting at 5pm in the Community Center at Oconee Veterans Park.

The Board of Commissioners is holding an agenda setting meeting at 7pm in the Oconee County Courthouse.

Wednesday, December 18th
Holiday Movie Pizza Night
From 5 to 8pm, children 11 to 18 years old are invited to the Oconee County Public Library for movies and food. Two hilarious holiday movies will be showing, Home Alone (PG) and Christmas Vacation (PG-13). Both the pizza and the movies are free. 

Thursday, December 19th
The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce is holding a coffee from 8 to 9am, at Bank South on the Macon Highway.
