Internationally Acclaimed African Children's Choir to Perform in Oconee County

A look at happenings this week in Oconee County:

1. Give blood at Fox's Pizza Den of Oconee: Today from 2 -6 p.m., give the gift of life and enjoy 1/2 price Pizza Happy Hour.

3. Hear the angelic voices of the African Children's Choir: Briarwood Baptist Church is hosting a concert on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m.  The concert, free and open to all, features well-loved children’s
songs, traditional spirituals and Gospel favorites.

4. Attend a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club: Visit Ashford Manor for an Evening in the Garden on Thursday, Aug. 22, starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be a band, live and silent auctions and more.  Tickets are $45 each or $80 for a pair.

5. Enjoy a date night: Make plans now for your kids to attend Kids' Night Out at Oconee Gymnastics on Friday from 6 - 10 p.m. Ages 4-12.
