Boy Scout Troop To Hold Food Drive for ACTS

Troop 149 will collect non-perishable food items at Butler's Crossing on Saturday, Oct. 29.

A local Boy Scout Troop has planned a service project to collect much-needed donations for the (ACTS) Food Bank.

The Food Bank' shortage comes at a time when more Oconee County families are in need of its services, The Oconee Enterprise reported. ACTS Chairman Reiny Hiss has made an appeal to churches and the community for an increase in donations, according to the newspaper's article.

Boy Scout Troop 149 is stepping up and doing its part to help.
