Star Athlete: Call for Nominations
Oconee Patch wishes to highlight local, standout athletes that deserve a little extra-special recognition for their hard work, determination, and perseverance.
Have you been watching a standout athlete that you think needs to be recognized? They could qualify as our next “Star Athlete.”
Each week, we'll ask our patchers to nominate an individual athlete who catches the attention of spectators on the court, field, mat, pool, wherever. From Little League to high school football and beyond, athletes of all sports and ages are eligible. We want to hear all about the accomplishments of Oconee athletes and what it takes to achieve them! Submit your nominations to Sports Contributor Karsyn Jarrett at kjarrett@uga.edu. Please be sure to include the following information:
- Nominator’s Name
- Nominator's Email
- Star Athlete’s Name
- Star Athlete’s Age
- Star Athlete’s School
- Star Athlete’s Accomplishment
- Star Athlete’s Key to Success
