Women's college basketball, a meet-and-greet with an author and a variety show raising money for a local Relay for Life team are a few of the things to know in and around Oconee today.
Weather: Cool temperatures stick around Sunday. The Weather Channel predicts a high around 45 with sunshine and 10-15 mph winds.
Top things to know:
- Cheer on the Lady Bulldogs as they take on Vanderbilt in a 2 p.m. game at Stegeman Coliseum. Tickets are $5 and free for UGA faculty and students.
- Meet Ashley Callahan, author of "Georgia Bellflowers: The Furniture of Henry Eugene Thomas," at Avid Bookstore on Prince Avenue in Athens at 4 p.m. She'll be signing copies.
- hosting "Sunday Night Live," a variety show, to raise money for the March 30th Relay. See a number of comedy acts and musical performances. The entertainment begins at 6 p.m. The event is free but donations are welcome.
