North Oconee, Oconee County Square Off in High School Football

The Titans play at the Warriors at 7 p.m. Friday

Cross-county rivals square off Friday night when North Oconee plays at Oconee County in high school football.

This is only the second meeting between the schools, according to the Georgia High School Football Historians Association database. North Oconee won 63-21 last year.

North Oconee is 6-2 overall and tied for second in Region 8-AAA. The Titans are led by junior running back Kawon Bryant, who has rushed for 1,960 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Oconee County has struggled to a 1-7 overall record, but the Warriors have found some offensive success as of late. Oconee is averaging 26 points per game over the past five games.

On paper, North Oconee is a strong favorite to win. The Maxwell Ratings says the Titans are 31-point favorites.
