NOHS Defeats 4A Madison County in Tennis
With the win, the Titans improve to 10-4 on the season and remain undefeated at 4-0 in the region. The Lady Titans are still undefeated in Region 8AA at 4-0.

The Lady Titans topped the Lady Raiders 4-1 Friday, March 25 in Danielsville improving their overall record to 11-3. just missed a sweep, falling only at No. 2 doubles. In singles action Becca Bruning defeated Jeannie Bowen 6-1, 6-0; at No. 2 Amber Hudson blanked Jenny Ortman 6-0, 6-0; at No. 3 Sarah Rogers cruised past Audra Minish 6-1, 6-1. In doubles action at No. 1 Kathleen Greenway and Casey Blanton topped Kaitlyn Hale and Adrian Fitzpatrick 6-3, 6-1. At No. 2 Lana Livesay and Tori Vadeboncoeur lost by the closest of margins to Abby Morgan and KayLee Bates 8-6, 7-6 (10-8). The Lady Titans are still undefeated in Region 8AA at 4-0.
On the boys’ side, the Titans beat the Raiders 3-2 behind victories at Nos. 2 & 3 singles and No. 1 doubles. At No.2 singles Spencer Powell defeated Ben Strickland 6-3, 6-4; at No. 3 Kerry Nozum got the best of Zach Peneguy 6-0, 6-2; and at No. 1 doubles Seth Taylor and Stevie Hemmerlien teamed up for 6-3, 6-2 win over Jeffrey Branson and Connor Hancock. For the Raiders, Trey Morris downed Ray Donovan 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and at No. 2 doubles, Josh Dooley and Jared Osborne defeated Titans’ duo Chris Saucier and David Sloan, 6-3, 6-3. With the win, the Titans improve to 10-4 on the season and remain undefeated at 4-0 in the region. The Titans host Jackson County Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. at the NOHS courts.
