A look at high school sports scores in and around Oconee County from April 4 to April 12.

Tennis

The Athens Academy boys suffered defeat over state lines, losing 4-1 to Christ Church in South Carolina on April 5. The No. 1 doubles pairing of Will Seagraves and Robert Slocumbe won the only match for them, taking home a 9-7 victory.

Morgan County beat Athens Academy on April 7 despite losing in the No. 1 singles and doubles positions. Houston Gaines was a 7-5, 7-5 winner for Athens Academy.

Athens Academy’s girls season came to a close with a 5-0 pasting of Morgan County. Emily Dong cruised to a 6-1, 6-1, win at No. 1 singles. In doubles, Sydney Platek and Kelly Foster were among the winners, taking their match 6-1, 6-3.
