In an effort to stock the (ACTS) Food Bank, the girls volleyball team held a canned food drive on Oct. 7.
ACTS leaders told The Oconee Enterprise at the end of September that the Food Bank has been experiencing a shortage at a time when more Oconee County families are in need of its services.
According to the school's website, the team was able to deliver 1,352 cans of food to ACTS.
Team members also volunteered their time to gather boxes of food for needy families, the website noted.
On Oct. 29, Boy Scout Troop 149 held a at Butler's Crossing Shopping Center.
