Technology Leadership Award Presented to Oconee County Board of Education

For its use of "eBoard" technology, the Oconee County Board of Education during the Georgia School Boards Association summer conference in Savannah was awarded first place for “Best Use of the Evaluation Module.”

The board and the school district utilize the online program for board policies and regulations, meeting agendas, and other important communications and documents.

According to a news release, the award comes with $750 for Oconee County Schools and a complimentary redesign of the district’s eBOARD home page, featuring a special logo recognizing OCS as an eBOARD Site of Excellence.

“We are pleased to see our board members receive this well-deserved recognition,”  Superintendent Dr. Jason Branch said in a released statement.  “To be honored as a pacesetter in the effective use of technology sets a strong example for our organization, and we salute their leadership in this important area.”
