Weather: Temperatures today will be cooler than they've been over the last week, according to the National Weather Service, with highs in the mid 50s.  Mainly cloudy skies are expected.  Low temperatures overnight will drop into the mid to upper 30s.

  • Don't forget to if you would like to cast a ballot in the Georgia Presidential Primary on March 6.  The deadline is today.
  • Atlanta Braves and Gwinnett Braves partial season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets at a $5 discount starting today at 10 a.m. for the Exhibition Game at Coolray Field on April 3.
  • for the top speller at a recent spelling bee in Clarke County.  What will be the winning word at a spelling bee in Oconee this afternoon?  Join the Board of Education as it hosts a competition between students from Oconee County Middle and Malcom Bridge Middle schools. The winner will advance to represent the school system at the District Spelling Bee to be held February 25, 2012 at Putnam County Middle School, according to Superintendent John Jackson.  The spelling bee will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by a work session.  See the agenda for the 5 p.m. meeting.
  • Fans of Broadway won't want to miss the performance of "100 Years of Broadway" at the UGA Performing Arts Center.  The 8 p.m. show features five Broadway stars and songs from "The Phantom of the Opera," "Les Misérables," "Aida," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Jekyll and Hyde" and "Chicago," according to a news release. Tickets range in price from $20-42.  Learn more.
