Kane Awarded 'One UGA Scholarship'

Andrew Kane, a UGA incoming freshman and 2011 Oconee County High School honorarian, has been named a recipient of the "One UGA Scholarship" for the 2011-2012 academic year.

graduate of the Class of 2011 has been awarded a $1,500 "One UGA Scholarship" for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Recipients of the scholarship demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and are students who are expected to contribute to the diversity of the freshmen class.

The scholarship can be renewed for an additional three years of undergraduate study if a recipient maintains certain academic standards, a news release stated.
