Hats Off to Oconee County High's Class of 2012

Two hundred and twenty graduates received their high school diplomas on Saturday

In front of parents, teachers, administrators and friends, 220 seniors from marched onto the floor of UGA's Stegeman Coliseum Saturday evening and left as graduates.

"Today is a day to cherish, but also to build upon our past. So that we will not stay forever in the halls of OCHS but instead lead our journey into the world," said Valedictorian . "I wish all of you today a triumphant graduation from your past and a wonderful commencement to your future."

Also in the top three of the class were Salutatorian Adrian Tasistro-Hart and Honorarian Tracey Pu.

The senior class chose "This is Your Life" by the Switchfoot as their class song and adopted the following motto by William Arthur Ward:

If you can imagine it, you can achieve it;

The Class of 2012 is the first that has been under the leadership of Principal Sheila Beckham for all four years of study.
