Got A Photogenic Pet That's Been a UGA Vet School Patient?

The UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Athens, Ga., wants to hear from you.

If your companion animal—or ones from a herd or flock—has been a patient at the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital, officials there want to hear from you.

They’re collecting photos of photographic patients for their Picture Your Pet Photo Contest. Through August 31, you can submit high-resolution images to the school for consideration. Plus, you need to include 50 to 200 words talking about the picture and/or your pet’s experience at the teaching hospital or Community Practice Clinic.

You can submit the photos online. They must be high-resolution images of at least 300 dots-per-inch taken with a six megapixel or higher camera. Cellphone pictures may not be able to produce a high-quality photograph, so consider using a camera.

You don't have to submit on-line. You may drop off or mail in a non-returnable disk. The address is UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Attn: Picture Your Pet, 501 D.W. Brooks Drive, Athens, Ga. 30602.

A panel of two-legged judges will critique photographs, and winning pictures will be displayed in the teaching hospital and clinic.
