Oconee Regional Republican Women June 2012 Meeting

The Oconee Regional Republican Women (ORRW) will host their June 2012 meeting on Thursday, June 6. This event will begin with networking at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. Scheduled guest speaker is Jeannie M. "Sis" Henry, Executive Director, Georgia School Boards Association and she will be presenting on the upcoming vote on charter schools in the state of Georgia.

Sis Henry has been advocating for public education for the past 40 years and her experiences range from the central office to the classroom. Henry served with the South Carolina School Boards Association for 22 years and is well-known by school boards, school board associations and local school dstricts. Henry received the National School Boards Association's highest honor, the Shannon Award for Excellence in School Board Governance in 200 and 2009.

This meeting is open to community members interested in attending.
