Deadline Looms for Nominations to the OCS Hall of Fame

Friday is the deadline for nominations, so get yours in quickly!

It’s time to nominate outstanding former employees of Oconee County Schools for the OCS Hall of Fame.

Each year, the Oconee County Board of Education usually recognizes one or two individuals selected for the Hall of Fame. The photos of winners are on the hall of fame wall in the board room of the superintendent’s office. Those selected also get to learn some of the reasons why people nominated them in the first place.

To be eligible for consideration, nominees must have been employed by Oconee County Schools. They must also have been gone from the school system for three or more years or must be deceased.

A copy of the nomination form can be downloaded or you may request one from the OCS Human Resources Office (706-769-5130). Nominations must also include three recommendation letters from students or colleagues.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, August 30th. If any nominees are selected, they will be recognized at the board of education meeting on November 11, 2013.
