Beloved Retired Oconee County Schools Administrator Dies
Superintendent John Jackson releases a statement on the passing of Martha Brodrick.
Martha Brodrick, a retired principal of Colham Ferry Elementary School who served for more than a decade, has died at the age of 65 following a short battle with cancer, according to The Oconee Enterprise.
Oconee County Schools Superintendent John Jackson released the following statement Friday on the passing of Martha Brodrick:
We are saddened by the passing of Martha Brodrick, a retired OCS administrator. Many of our lives were touched by her work--students, parents, co-workers, and community members. Martha was such a part of the fabric of our community and she will be missed.

Even after retirement from the school system as Principal of , Martha continued to serve as a mentor to our new and aspiring administrators, as well as filling short-term administrative positions as Principal at and .
She had a vast reservoir of knowledge and wisdom about teaching, learning and caring for students that was admired and respected by many.
