Athens Academy Hosts District Interact Conference

A great day of "Service Above Self."

Over 120 people representing 20 Interact clubs gathered at for the annual District Interact Assembly on Sept. 24. 

Headmaster Bob Chambers and District Governor Bill St. Clair were on hand to welcome the group along with Athens Academy Interact Faculty Advisor Anna Scott, according to a news release from the school.

Interactors, Advisors, and Rotarians planned for the upcoming year, learned more about new clubs and opportunities, and shared ideas for the future of District 6910 during morning breakout sessions at the new Harrison Center for the Arts and Preschool.

Later that day, more than 50 attendees remained on campus for a Stop Hunger Now community service event.  The group packaged more than 10,000 meals for shipment overseas in less than two hours. For Interactors and Rotarians alike, it was a great day of “Service Above Self.
