Want to Run for a County Office? Here Are the 2012 Qualifying Fees

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners set 2012 qualifying fees on Tuesday.

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners at a meeting Tuesday adopted a resolution setting the 2012 qualifying fees.

The following qualifying fees were set based on calculations outlined by the state:

  • Chairman of the Board of Commissioners- $2,487.76
  • Post 1 and Post 4 of the Commission- $594.42
  • Clerk of Superior Court- $1,943.28
  • Probate Judge- $1,943.28
  • Sheriff- $1,943.28
  • Tax Commissioner - $1,943.28
  • Coroner $122.49
  • Board of Education (Posts 1, 4 and 5)- $54 each

The qualifying period will be held on Wednesday, May 23 beginning at 9 a.m. and close on Friday, May 25 at noon.
