Slowinski Announces Bid for Broun's Seat in the US House

Brian Slowinski says his campaign will focus on what he believes is the No. 1 issue: the economy.

Anyone looking for a break from elections after the exhausting run up to the 2012 presidential election is in for a disappointment. The 2014 mid-terms are already under way.

As soon as US Congressman Saxby Chambliss announced he wouldn't be running for re-election in 2014, the mid-term campaign began.

Wednesday, US Rep. Paul Broun announced that he would be running for Chambliss' seat in the senate in 2014, opening up his seat in the 10th Congressional District to which he had just been re-elected.

On Friday, Conservative Republican Activist and tea party candidate Brian Slowinski announced that he would be running for Broun's seat. He did it via YouTube, saying that Broun had "gotten it right" with his adherence to the United States Constitution. Slowinski said he would be addressing the number one issue in the campaign - the economy.

“Government is taxing and spending away the American Dream of the future generations,” Slowinski said in a press release. “We need to elect men and women of principle who will address runaway government and save America from ruin!  I am running so my six children can follow their dreams without a government taking away their God-given rights or the America we love.”
