Oconee County Budget Meetings Planned for Next Week

It's time for commissioners to plan for FY14.

Oconee County Commissioners will be holding a series of meetings next week to hear presentations concerning the fiscal year 2014 budget.

On Monday, March 18, the Board will hear from the following offices and departments:

5:30 p.m. Sheriff’s Office: Law Enforcement/Jail/ E911
6:15 p.m. Animal Control
6:30 p.m. Fire/EMA/EMS
7:15 p.m. Coroner
7:30 p.m. Public Works/Road/Sanitation

The next day, commissioners will resume meetings starting at 9 a.m.and conclude around 4:30 p.m.

Another evening meeting is planned Wednesday, March 20. Here's the breakdown:

6:15 p.m. Operations
6:45 p.m. Fleet Maintenance
7:00 p.m. Parks & Recreation
7:45 p.m. Finance/Administration

All meetings will take place in the Commission Meeting Chambers of the Oconee County Courthouse.

Public hearings for the proposed budget are scheduled for May 28 at 6:30 p.m. and June 4 at 7 p.m..  Following the hearing on June 4, commissioners will consider the adoption of the budget.
