Woman Reports Threatening Calls to Watkinsville Police

Sunday afternoon a Harden Hill Road resident reported receiving threatening telephone calls from a person unknown to her. Watkinsville Police Chief Lee O'Dillon said officers and the phone company are assisting with the case.

In his weekly news release, O'Dillon recapped some of the other incidents that police responded to during the week ending on Sept. 30:

• At 11:03 on Sept. 25,  a 1998 Toyota Camry was bumped from behind by a 2005 Buick LaCrosse on Experiment Station Road at North Main Street. One person was slightly injured. A 60-year-old Watkinsville woman was charged with following too closely.

• The passenger side of a 2003 Dodge Ram pick-up was damaged when a 2003 Ford Super Duty made contact with it while entering a parking space at 1340 Greensboro Highway at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28. No one was injured and only minor damage was reported.

• A 2002 Mercury Mountaineer was damaged when a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, pulling a camper trailer, scraped the SUV’s side as it exited a driveway onto Experiment Station Road on Friday afternoon. No one was injured.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 29 calls within city limits between Sept. 24 and Sept. 30.
