Watkinsville Police: Man Grabs Wine, Flees Store Without Paying

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville, Ga. police department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A man made off with about $40 worth of wine from the J&B Quick Stop Shell Sunday evening, June 17, officers reported.

Watkinsville Police were called to the service station on 1461 Greensboro Highway about 6 p.m. after a white male allegedly shoplifted three bottles of wine and ran from the store.

According to a news release from Police Chief Lee O'Dillon, the thief was described as being in his 20s with a dark goatee and bleach blonde hair, wearing baggie jeans and a gray hoodie. The man fled to a waiting older model small, black car being driven by a woman.
