Watkinsville Police Chief Recognized by the Peace Officers Association of Georgia

For his over thirty years of service, Chief Lee O'Dillon has been granted "Lifetime Membership" status by the executive committee.

At a meeting of the Watkinsville City Council this week, Mayor Charles Ivie announced that Police Chief Lee O'Dillon has received the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member of the Peace Officers Association of Georgia: "Lifetime Membership" status.

"So when you see Police Chief O'Dillon, give him a pat on the back and tell him congratulations," Ivie said.

The Watkinsville Police Department has also been recognized by the Georgia Department of Highway Safety as the Piedmont Area Traffic Enforcement Network "Agency of the Year."
