Watkinsville Police Charge Driver with Violation of Limited DUI Permit

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville, Ga. police department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

Watkinsville Police on Saturday around noon stopped the driver of a 2000 Honda Passport on Whitehall Road at Taylors Drive after determining the tag on the vehicle was not valid, according to a news release from Chief Lee O'Dillon.

Leanne Hudgins, 42, of Calls Creek Circle, was charged with having a suspended tag, driving without insurance, and a violation of a limited D.U.I. permit, O'Dillon said. Hudgins was booked and later released after posting bond.

In other news from last week, officers were called an on-going child visitation dispute at a Jackson Street address. The mother of a 3 year old on Sunday morning did not want to allow the child to leave for scheduled visitation, police said. All parties involved were advised to abide by existing court orders. Further litigation is pending.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 28 calls within city limits between March 4-10, 2013.
