Watkinsville Police: Bogus $10 Bills Circulated

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville, Ga. police department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Last week, two Watkinsville businesses reported receiving fake ten dollar bills, according to Police Chief Lee O'Dillon.  The counterfeit currency was printed on regular paper with no watermark and is a very poor quality, he said in a news release.  The fake bills will be turned over the U.S. Secret Service, he said.

O'Dillon advises businesses and residents to be aware of the bogus money.

O'Dillon also recapped some of the other incidents that police responded to during the week ending on July 8:
