A 2004 Chevrolet Express van had stopped in a line of traffic due to another vehicle attempting to make a left turn. A 1996 Geo Tracker stopped behind the Chevrolet van. A 2007 Chrysler 300 skidded into the back of the Geo forcing it into the back of the van. The drivers of the Geo and the Chrysler both suffered minor injuries. All three vehicles suffered heavy damage. A 16-year-old Oconee County driver was at fault in the accident.
