Watkinsville Police Blotter: Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville Police Department

In his weekly news release, Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending Nov. 27.

  • Tuesday at 8:10 p.m., police were called to Main Street at Whitehall Road where the driver of a 2010 Toyota Camry had driven into a 2001 Honda Civic which was stopped at the red traffic signal. No one was injured. One of the drivers was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road.
  • At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, a 1994 Toyota Tacoma was hit from behind by a 2003 Honda Accord on Main Street at Third Street in downtown. Neither driver was injured. One of the drivers was cited with following too closely.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 28 calls within city limits between Monday, Nov.21 and Sunday, Nov. 27.
