Watkinsville Police: Tractor-trailer Hits Security Light Pole

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville Police Department.

In his weekly news release, Watkinsville Police Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending March 25th.

  • At 6:56 a.m. Thursday, March 22, a 2011 Freightliner tractor-trailer rig cut the corner too sharp and hit a security light pole at the Golden Pantry convenience store at 31 Greensboro Highway. The light fixture was damaged. The truck driver, 28 year old from LasVegas, Nevada, was not injured.
  • Thursday, March 22, at 5:45 p.m. police were called to a Elliot Circle address where a parent and a teenager were involved in a dispute. After some discussion it was decided that the 16 year old would be taken to a relatives house for a while.
  • At 9 p.m. Sunday, March 25,  police were called to a domestic situation on Bunny Hop Trail. A 34 year old woman decided to leave the residence after an on-going argument. Police stood-by to keep the peace while the woman gathered some belongings and departed
