Watkinsville Police Blotter: Charges Pending in Domestic Situation

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville Police Department.

In his weekly news release, Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending Jan. 8.

  • On Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 7:42 p.m. police were called to Experiment Station Road at North Main Street after a 2009 Ford Mustang was hit from behind by a 1999 Mercury Sable. No one was injured. An 18-year-old residents of of Whippoorwill Road was cited with following too closely.
  • Sunday evening, Jan. 8,  police were called to McRee Street residence after a domestic situation was reported. The offender had fled the address when police were called. No one was injured and charges are pending.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 28 calls within city limits between Monday, Jan. 1 and Sunday, Jan. 8.
