Watkinsville Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Watkinsville police department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

In his weekly news release, Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending Oct. 23.

  • Thursday, Oct. 20 at 8 a.m. police responded to a three-vehicle accident on South Main Street at Colham Ferry Road. A 2002 Toyota Camry slid into the back of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee forcing it into the rear of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. No one was injured. A Winterville woman was cited with following too closely. 
  • Police were called to a domestic argument on Stone Shoals Terrace on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11:15 a.m. A mother and her teenage son were in a heated debate concerning another sibling. It was decide that the son would leave for a while until things could calm down.
  • Officers arrested Heather Ann Anderson, 33, of Bunny Hop Trail, on an outstanding fraud warrant from Athens-Clarke County on Saturday evening. Anderson was turned over to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Late Saturday night, police responded to a disturbance at a VFW Drive residence. A 26-year-old intoxicated woman, who did not live there, was being loud and disruptive. The unwanted woman’s father was called to come remove her from the scene.

Police responded to a total of 31 calls within city limits between Monday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct.23.
