Police arrested one man for DUI and another for traffic violations.

In his weekly press release, Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending Feb. 13.

On Feb. 8, police stopped a 22 year-old Blairsville man for traveling at a high rate of speed on New High Shoals Road. The man was arrested and charged with speeding, suspended driver's license, no insurance, and no tag, O'Dillon reported.
Police pulled over another speeder on Main Street on Feb. 11 in the early morning hours. Edward Manley, Jr., 52, of Dresher, PA, was charged with DUI and speeding, O'Dillon said.

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 29 calls within city limits between Monday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 13, O'Dillon said.
